The following steps need to be followed to extend a Vietnam visa:
Step 1: A soft copy of the passport and the page with the current Vietnam visa should be sent to the authorities. They will decide whether your visa can be extended or not and inform you about the same.
Step 2: If you are eligible for a visa extension, the original passport has to be sent to the Vietnam Immigration Department. The payment for extending your Vietnam visa should be made along with this.
Step 3: You will receive your passport with the extended visa within eight business days. For urgent cases, it will be returned within 3 working days. Urgent cases need to be specified and requested while applying for the extension.
